Demo Announcement
Memorize Me is a third-person roguelike survival horror game set in a hauntingly atmospheric pixel-art world. Each run delivers a completely unique experience as you guide one of over 15 distinct characters through the ever-shifting labyrinth of the Cluster — a melancholic dreamscape constructed from the fractured memories of a mysterious protagonist.
The narrative unfolds without traditional dialogue, relying on environmental storytelling, item discovery, and psychological metaphors to piece together a deeper story. You'll explore eerie, procedurally generated locations, solve puzzles, and encounter hostile entities known as Goliaths — manifestations of fear that adapt to your behavior and stalk you through the maze.
Core mechanics revolve around a tactical inventory system where every item affects how you survive. Items belong to two opposing types: Art and Pride. Balancing these grants powerful "Illumination" with both benefits and penalties, altering your gameplay drastically. You cannot drop items — only destroy them, gaining “Memory Points” that influence progression.
To escape each level, you must create an Opus — a drawing-key crafted with materials from hidden rooms. If destroyed, it’s replaced by a Pride-affiliated version called Ispora, which unlocks an alternate, more punishing route.
The AI-driven Goliaths are the heart of the threat. They evolve through three phases — Roaming, Hook, and Chase — reacting to player sounds, object interaction, and visual clues. Each behaves differently, creating dynamic encounters that require stealth, timing, and quick decision-making.
